To help make clinical herbalism more accessible to our community, Fees are based on a sliding scale, and barter is sometimes accepted to cover part of the fee. Sliding scale is a tool that allows for a service to be obtained at multiple price points based on circumstances and represents the idea that financial means should not be the determining factor in whether or not someone can access services.
Please be respectful and contribute as much as you are able, in order to make space for our practice to continue accepting sliding scale and barter clients. I do not ask for income verification, I trust you to be honest.
If you would like to donate or pay extra above your fee to increase the number of sliding scale clients accepted into the practice, please include your shipping address with your donation so we can thank you properly!
- Initial Consultation: $50-$160 sliding scale – 90+ minutes, includes custom wellness plan & herb formulating.
- Follow-up: $30-$90 sliding scale – 45-60 minutes, includes updated wellness plan if need,
- Quick Question / Mini-Consultation: $25-$50 sliding scale – 15-30 minutes (phone or in person)
**All herbs and herbal products are additional and NOT included in price.**
The Standard Price
Initial Consultation: $125
(sliding scale $125 – $160)
Follow-Ups: $75
(sliding scale $75 – $90)
**The Standard Fee reflects the true cost of the service. If you have access to financial security, own property or have personal savings, you would not traditionally qualify for sliding scale services. If you are able to pay for “wants” and spend little time worried about securing necessities in your life, this price is for you.
The Mid-Level Price
Initial Consultation: $100
(sliding scale $75 – $100)
Follow-Ups: $50
(sliding scale $50 – $70)
**If you are struggling to conquer debt or build savings or move away from paycheck to paycheck living but have access to steady income and are not spending most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, child care, etc., this price is for you.
The Lowest Price
Initial Consultation: $50
(sliding scale $50 – $75)
Follow-Ups $30
(sliding scale $25 – $45)
**If you struggle to maintain access to needs such as health care, housing, food, child care, are living paycheck to paycheck or are in significant debt, this price is for you. If this price is still prohibitive please get in touch with me so that we can come up with a workable solution together.
Payment
Payment is accepted at the time of service via cash, credit/Square, Paypal or Venmo.
Practitioners deserve to be paid and clients deserve quality services which also recognize the multiple realities of economic access and privilege that exist. By honoring the sliding scale we can support each other.
These fees are for all consults whether in-person, in your home or long distance via phone and email (long distance sessions include research, wellness plan, and herbal formulation, just like in person).
Sliding scale clients are eligible to receive 10% off products purchases over $100, and have the Paypal fee waived.
**Fees should never cause a hardship, such as trouble paying rent, bills, childcare, etc. If you feel that the circumstances of your life (including socioeconomic factors, current and/or historical oppression, immigration status, etc.) make affording these fees a hardship, please contact us personally to discuss options.
